In life, we sometimes question why things are happening to us. Sometimes we ask ourselves, like I did today, how is it that God can allow us to become concerned and frustrated over small things that don't really matter instead of concerning ourselves with the things that really do matter?
Unsure of an answer to this question, I asked one of the online missionaries for help. He asked me why I asked and I told it was because of the frustration I felt at basketball practice when I couldn't perform a maneuver many others had been able to since at least middle school. The missionary replied that he actually had asked himself that exact same question earlier today. He explained that it allows us the opportunity to study our current position with God. Then, we are able to step back and consider our loves in God's hands.
His companion added on that "God sent us here to learn and grow. He doesn't expect us to be perfect now, but part of living is realizing we don't always worry about the right things..."
This is where we have to trust our Heavenly Father through faith that He will help us. By doing this, we can work to overcome whatever small problems it is that are bothering us in our daily lives.
Our Heavenly Father loves us very much and all of our problems, no matter how small, are a concern of His. Through prayer, we can ask for His help to overcome these problems, either by a solution of simply waiting. Sometimes, waiting is the best one because it allows us time to really think about our decisions and choices. If we find something we think if right, it could be an answer from our Heavenly Father, possibly His solution.
It is through faith that we learn to entirely trust our Heavenly Father. And that is something we all need to learn to do. Trust in God. Completely.
